Information You Give Us

If you contact American Semiconductor, including via e-mail or a “Contact Us” form, we may keep a record of that correspondence and your contact information, which may include your first and last name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. American Semiconductor also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. From time to time we may provide you with special offers based upon information you have provided within your e-mail. Note: If you unsubscribe or remove yourself from our mailing lists it will not stop e-mail that responds to your specific request or activities, including follow up e-mail on samples, order confirmations, and responses to your questions.

Automatically Collected Information

Like most standard websites, we use log files to capture IP address, browser type, machine ID, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, number of clicks, and other information. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement in aggregate, troubleshoot problems, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc., are not linked to personally identifiable information.  However, if you are also registered on our site (by providing your e-mail address when asked in a variety of places), we capture your e-mail address in our log files in order to understand your interests to better serve you.

This website uses Mailchimp to send newsletters. The supplier is The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA. Mailchimp is a service which organizes and analyzes the distribution of newsletters. The data you provide (e.g. your email address) to subscribe to our newsletter will be stored on Mailchimp servers in the United Stated.

Sending our newsletters with Mailchimp enables us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, we can find out how many recipients have opened the email containing the newsletter and how often various links contained therein are clicked. With the help of conversion tracking, we can also analyze whether a predefined action (such as the purchase of a product on our website) takes place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. Outsourced data processing
