We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement in aggregate, troubleshoot problems, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc., are not linked to personally identifiable information.  However, if you are also registered on our site (by providing your e-mail address when asked in a variety of places), we capture your e-mail address in our log files in order to understand your interests to better serve you.

4. Mailchimp

This website uses Mailchimp to send newsletters. The supplier is The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA. Mailchimp is a service which organizes and analyzes the distribution of newsletters. The data you provide (e.g. your email address) to subscribe to our newsletter will be stored on Mailchimp servers in the United Stated.

Sending our newsletters with Mailchimp enables us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, we can find out how many recipients have opened the email containing the newsletter and how often various links contained therein are clicked. With the help of conversion tracking, we can also analyze whether a predefined action (such as the purchase of a product on our website) takes place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
